Job Summary
Provide a variety of patient care activities under the supervision of a physician, advanced practice provider, or registered nurse in accordance with established guidelines and standards. Maintain Basic Life Support certification and hold a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) credential. Complete one year of medical assistant or related clinical experience if formal education is not pursued. Operate within the Piedmont Columbus Med. Group business unit.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or completion of a Nursing Assistant program
- One (1) year of medical assistant or related clinical experience
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or a similarly recognized certifying organization
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)-NCTT

- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
