Job Summary
Obtain and verify patient health histories, collect laboratory specimens, and administer medications as directed by the provider. Provide direct patient care while documenting encounters, treatments, and test results in the electronic medical record. Assist physicians during examinations and diagnostic procedures, implement care plans, and educate patients on physician instructions. Maintain compliance with infection prevention and confidentiality standards, communicate clinical concerns to licensed providers, and participate in monthly staff meetings. Work Monday through Friday in a supportive gastroenterology private practice with opportunities for professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
