Job Summary
Medication Assistant provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse, including administration of prescribed medications, vital signs collection, and documenting care outcomes. Responsibilities also include assisting with transfers, range of motion, meals, and participation in wellness programs, with travel to multiple locations within a 150-mile radius of permanent address and mileage reimbursement provided. Requires CNA certification (state-specific) and CMA training/certification as applicable; 3 months LTC experience (6 months preferred); weekend and evening/night shift differentials noted. Minimum 30 hours per month scheduling; active state certifications and continuing education as required.
Required Qualifications
- 3 months experience in Long Term Care required (6 months preferred)
- Minimum of 30 hours per month
- High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required
- Must have CNA certification (state-specific) and CMA certification as applicable by state
- Active CNA/CMA credentials maintained with State Board of Nursing or state-specific registry
