Job Summary

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) is responsible for administering oral and topical medications to residents as prescribed by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse. This role includes demonstrating knowledge of the 'five rights' of medication administration, notifying licensed staff of resident pain complaints, taking and recording vital signs, and documenting medication administration. The CMA must observe for adverse reactions, support resident safety, and perform all aspects of care to maintain resident comfort and well-being.
