Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care through clinical duties, including vital signs, patient assessments, and administering medications and vaccines under provider direction. Perform on-site testing such as urinalysis, blood draws, and EKGs, documenting results in the electronic health record and billing accordingly. Manage routine patient communication, triage calls, and lab specimen routing while obtaining prior authorizations for prescriptions and therapies. Maintain clinical areas by cleaning exam rooms between patients and stocking the nurse's station and lab equipment daily. Participate in staff meetings and complete required orientation checklists for competency validation.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma from a Medical Assistant Program
- current national certification/registration as a medical assistant
- valid LPN License
- Diploma from accredited LPN course
- excellent communication skills
- emphasis on quality customer service
- Must be certified in phlebotomy
- A high degree of digital and manual dexterity
