Job Summary
Organize patient records, prep patients for exams, perform basic lab tests, and obtain medical histories while assisting physicians with treatment protocols and research procedures. Respond to unique needs of patients from newborns to geriatric under general supervision, adhering to established policies and performing simple, non-invasive patient procedures as requested. May handle various clerical and lab duties based on team needs. Full-time day shift Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Currently certified as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
- AAMA or NHA certification obtained within six (6) months of employment if certified by another accrediting agency
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- CPR certification obtained within thirty (30) days of employment if not current
