Job Summary
Compose Daily Inspection Reports, track materials for contract compliance, observe field testing, review Quality Control Plans, and monitor field testing throughout heavy civil infrastructure projects. Navigate uneven surfaces, lift up to 30 pounds, and climb stairs and ladders while interpreting contract plans and specifications. Requires four years of road, bridge, or transportation experience, WAQTC and ACI certifications, and proficiency with mobile computing tools. Valid driver's license and ability to travel for Western Washington per diem projects are essential. Work nights, weekends, and holidays, including emergency callouts, to coincide with contractor activities. Associate level full-time role with competitive hourly compensation.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of previous road, bridge, transportation related experience
- 4 years of construction quality experience and/or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
- 5 years of construction quality experience on civil, residential, commericial, or transit projects
- WAQTC certification
- ACI certification
- one or more WABO/ICC Special Inspector Certifications
- Ability to navigate uneven surfaces
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with mobile computing tools including Outlook, Bluebeam, Excel, and Word
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to interpret contract plans and specifications
- Ability to perform and check engineering calculations
- Ability to travel for Western Washington per diem projects
- Flexibility to adjust work schedule to coincide with contractor activities
- Ability to travel as needed
- Ability to work nights
- Ability to work weekends
- Ability to work holidays
- Ability to perform emergency callout/standby
