Job Summary
Compose daily inspection reports, track materials for contract compliance, and observe testing of field-related materials. Monitor field testing throughout the project and review Quality Control Plans. Interpret contract plans and specifications, perform engineering calculations, and navigate uneven surfaces while lifting up to 30 pounds. Travel for Western Washington per diem projects, work nights, weekends, and holidays, and perform emergency callouts. Requires 4–5 years of construction quality experience, WAQTC/ACI certifications, and proficiency with mobile computing tools including Outlook, Bluebeam, Excel, and Word.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of previous road, bridge, transportation related experience
- 4 years of construction quality experience and/or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
- 5 years of construction quality experience on civil, residential, commericial, or transit projects
- WAQTC certification
- ACI certification
- one or more WABO/ICC Special Inspector Certifications
- Navigate uneven surfaces
- lift up to 30 pounds
- climb stairs and ladders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with mobile computing tools including Outlook, Bluebeam, Excel, and Word
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to interpret contract plans and specifications and perform and check engineering calculations
- Ability to travel for Western Washington per diem projects
