Job Summary
CM Inspector 2 responsible for QA inspection support on heavy civil infrastructure projects. Core duties include composing daily inspection reports, tracking materials for contract compliance, observing field testing of materials, reviewing Quality Control Plans, and monitoring field testing throughout projects. Requires proficiency with Outlook, Bluebeam, Excel, and Word; valid driver's license; WAQTC and ACI certifications with one or more WABO/ICC Special Inspector credentials. Must be able to travel across Western Washington per diem projects and adjust work schedule to accommodate contractor activities, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Career level is Associate with 4 years of construction quality experience or a related degree (Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar), or 5 years of construction quality experience on civil/transit projects. Required Qualifications
- 4 years of road, bridge, transportation related experience OR 5 years of construction quality experience on civil, residential, commercial, or transit projects
- 4 years of construction quality experience and/or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
- valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- WAQTC and ACI certifications; one or more WABO/ICC Special Inspector Certifications
- ability to interpret contract plans and specifications and perform and check engineering calculations
- ability to travel for Western Washington per diem projects and flexibility to adjust work schedule including travel as needed, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency callout/standby
