Job Summary
CM Inspector 2 – provide QA inspection support for heavy civil infrastructure projects. Responsible for composing daily inspection reports, tracking materials for contract compliance, observing testing of field-related materials, reviewing Quality Control Plans, and monitoring field testing. Requires 4 years of road/bridge/transportation-related experience or 5 years of construction quality experience on civil, residential, commercial, or transit projects. Requires 4 years of construction quality experience or a related degree (Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar) and certifications WAQTC, ACI, and one or more WABO/ICC Special Inspector Certifications. Must be able to navigate uneven surfaces, lift up to 30 pounds, climb stairs/ladders, and travel within Western Washington; strong verbal/written communication; proficient with Outlook, Bluebeam, Excel, and Word. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. The role includes per diem travel, flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts. Required Qualifications
- 4 years of construction quality experience and/or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
- valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Required specialty certifications; WAQTC and ACI certifications; one or more WABO/ICC Special Inspector Certifications
- ability to interpret contract plans and specifications and perform and check engineering calculations
- travel for Western Washington per diem projects and flexibility to adjust work schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency standby/standby
- proficiency with mobile computing tools including Outlook, Bluebeam, Excel, and Word
