Job Summary
Compose Daily Inspection Reports, track materials for contract compliance, and observe testing of field-related materials. Review Quality Control Plans and monitor Field Testing throughout the project while interpreting contract plans and performing engineering calculations. Navigate uneven surfaces, lift up to 30 pounds, and climb stairs and ladders. Requires a valid driver's license, proficiency with mobile computing tools, and ability to travel for Western Washington per diem projects, including nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts. Associate level full-time role with hourly compensation between $32 and $50.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of previous road, bridge, transportation related experience
- 4 years of construction quality experience and/or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
- 5 years of construction quality experience on civil, residential, commericial, or transit projects
- WAQTC certification
- ACI certification
- one or more WABO/ICC Special Inspector Certifications
- Ability to navigate uneven surfaces
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with mobile computing tools including Outlook, Bluebeam, Excel, and Word
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to interpret contract plans and specifications
- Ability to perform and check engineering calculations
- Ability to travel for Western Washington per diem projects
- Flexibility to adjust work schedule to coincide with contractor activities
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays
- Ability to perform emergency callout/standby
