Cluster Head -EMS Operations

Job Summary
Manage end-to-end production of appliances across assigned clusters, overseeing PCB assembly, SMT lines, power board testing, and final box-build to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly output targets with high OEE. Own SMT and through-hole soldering processes for control boards and power PCBs, ensuring correct machine setup, calibration, and adherence to IPC class standards and ESD controls. Drive first-pass yield targets by managing in-circuit and functional testing, leading root cause analysis for defects, and coordinating with procurement for component availability and material flow. Lead a team of 30–80 operators and technicians, conducting daily huddles, skill development programs, and safety compliance drives. Requires 11–18 years of experience in electronics manufacturing, specifically in consumer appliances or EMS companies, with practical knowledge of BIS certification and Lean methodologies.
Required Qualifications
- 11–18 years of experience in electronics manufacturing
- specifically in consumer appliances, EMS companies, or kitchen appliance plants
- Strong hands-on electronics background — SMT operations, IGBT-based power electronics, PCB assembly, and functional testing
- Experience managing a high-volume assembly line or cluster in companies
- Practical knowledge of BIS certification processes
- IPC-A-610 standards
- ISO 9001 QMS
Desired Qualifications
- Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt
- hands-on with OEE tracking, SMED, and line balancing
- Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, PCB layouts, and BOM structures
