Job Summary
Conduct practices, instruct methods and strategies, and coach student athletes in the assigned club sport. Recruit student athletes for the program and assist in scheduling games and practices. Provide motivation for both athletic and academic development while supervising assistant coaches. Transport and supervise players during team travel, and coordinate with team leaders to report scores to the media. Submit accurate rosters to the Director of the Kiernan Center and ensure compliance with university and league rules. Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, and drive a personal or university vehicle for business purposes.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in coaching at the high school, college or higher competitive level or at least some experience in participating in the respective sport
- Valid driver's license
- Must take and pass the American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary
- Ability to travel when necessary
- Ability to drive a personal or university vehicle for the purpose of university business on a regular basis
