Job Summary
Operate shop equipment safely while measuring lie, loft, and club specifications to perform club performance modifications and repairs. Construct or modify golf clubs as needed, replacing broken heads, shafts, and grips based on customer requirements. Manage inventory by accurately recording shop consumption, usage, and waste, and complete all order forms and repair tags with precision. Demonstrate knowledge of golf club-making techniques and product features to provide superior service and recommendations. Work varied hours/days as business dictates.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrate knowledge of processing information and merchandise via computer and POS register system
- Demonstrate working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, Internet and order processing systems
- Freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area and register area by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching and kneeling and lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds at any given time
- Work varied hours/days as business dictates
Desired Qualifications
- Prior golf club repair experience
- Knowledge of golf equipment and shafts
- Experience working in a shop environment and familiarity with basic power tools
- Knowledge of retail operations
