Job Summary
Measure lie, loft, and shaft specifications to modify clubs according to customer needs, then repair broken heads and replace shafts and grips. Operate shop equipment safely while accurately recording inventory consumption and completing repair tags. Provide product recommendations and manage general phone systems and computer applications to support store operations. Work varied hours as business dictates. This role supports the "Sure No Problem" customer-first philosophy within Edwin Watts Golf, a 50-year-old retailer with over 95 stores across the U.S.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrate knowledge of processing information and merchandise via computer and POS register system
- Demonstrate working knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, inventory, Internet and order processing systems
- Freely access all areas of the store including sales floor, stock area and register area by standing, walking, stooping, crawling, climbing, crouching and kneeling and lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds at any given time
- Work varied hours/days as business dictates
Desired Qualifications
- Prior golf club repair experience
- Knowledge of golf equipment and shafts
- Experience working in a shop environment and familiarity with basic power tools
- Knowledge of retail operations
