Job Summary
Oversee gym operations to ensure an exceptional member experience and financial success by recruiting, hiring, training, and developing staff including Assistant Managers, Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians. Schedule shifts to ensure full coverage, lead by example through coaching, and resolve employee issues or disciplinary matters. Manage front desk activities such as answering phones, checking members in, processing new sign-ups, and taking tours. Ensure prompt opening and closing, oversee facility cleanliness and maintenance, determine equipment repairs, and authorize expenditures and refunds. Prepare HR forms, track statistics, and make daily bank deposits. Maintain a welcoming atmosphere while adhering to customer service guidelines and PF values.
Required Qualifications
- Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
- Experience working as an Assistant Manager at Planet Fitness.
- Exceptional leadership, diplomacy and listening skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
- Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic!
- Strong problem resolution skills.
- Current CPR Certification required.
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to occassionally lift up to 50 lbs.
