Job Summary
Oversee gym operations to ensure an exceptional member experience and financial success by recruiting, hiring, training, and developing a staff of assistants, representatives, trainers, and custodians. Schedule shifts, lead by example, and resolve employee issues while managing payroll, disciplinary actions, and front desk duties including check-ins, sign-ups, and tours. Ensure prompt opening and closing, oversee facility cleanliness and maintenance, determine equipment repairs, and manage marketing efforts and expenditures. Track statistics, prepare HR forms, and provide backup support for absent employees.
Required Qualifications
- Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
- Experience working as an Assistant Manager at Planet Fitness.
- Exceptional leadership, diplomacy and listening skills.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
- Hard working, enthusiastic and energetic!
- Strong problem resolution skills.
- Current CPR Certification required.
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to occassionally lift up to 50 lbs.
