Job Summary
Manage club operations under the Senior General Manager by ensuring the team performs to NFP standards, achieving monthly drivers and KPIs, and maintaining a clean, safe environment with passing monthly BER inspections. Recruit, interview, and hire staff while building a bench, then hold employees accountable through coaching, counseling, and progressive discipline up to termination. Drive membership sales to meet DGR goals, participate in community outreach, and validate employee timecards for accurate payroll. Work side-by-side with staff on front desk activities, member tours, and club cleaning, while assessing areas of need and executing correction plans. Report weekly progress to the Senior General Manager and attend regional meetings.
Required Qualifications
- High school education/GED
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Walking and standing for prolonged periods of time
- Crouching, bending, using hands to pinch and grasp
Desired Qualifications
- Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry
- Management experience through Planet Fitness preferred
- Exceptional leadership, diplomacy and listening skills
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite)
- Ability to successfully coach and develop team members
