Job Summary
Ensure club is fully staffed by recruiting, interviewing, and hiring team members while building a bench. Consistently achieve monthly goals including drivers and KPIs, and provide exceptional customer service to create a welcoming environment. Manage club labor by validating timecards, approving payroll, and scheduling shifts efficiently. Maintain club cleanliness and safety, ensuring at least a passing Club BER inspection monthly. Hold staff accountable through coaching, counseling, and progressive discipline up to termination. Drive membership sales to meet DGR goals and participate in community outreach. Invest in staff training, assess areas of need, and execute correction plans. Update Senior General Manager on weekly progress and attend regional meetings. Model servant leadership by working side-by-side with staff on front desk activities, member tours, and club maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- High school education/GED
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Walking and standing for prolonged periods of time
- Crouching, bending, using hands to pinch and grasp
Desired Qualifications
- Superior customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry
- Management experience through Planet Fitness preferred
- Exceptional leadership, diplomacy and listening skills
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite)
- Ability to successfully coach and develop team members
