Job Summary
Oversee gym operations to ensure a positive member experience and financial success. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff; ensuring exceptional member service and front desk operations; engaging with potential members through tours; handling member service issues; ensuring timely opening and closing of the gym; maintaining cleanliness and appearance; managing weekly payroll; supporting marketing efforts and staff training on campaigns; authorizing expenditures and handling daily bank deposits; preparing new hire paperwork and coordinating with regional managers; and providing backup support during staff absences. Essential skills include customer service, listening, problem solving, diplomacy, and strong leadership and organizational abilities.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Prior supervisory experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift
- Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs less than 30% of the time
