Job Summary
Oversee gym operations by recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising staff while managing front desk tasks, member tours, and daily opening/closing procedures. Facilitate member service issues, ensure prompt facility cleanliness, and handle payroll processing and bank deposits. Manage marketing efforts, authorize expenditures, and prepare new hire forms for regional managers. Provide backup support for any employee out due to illness. Maintain positive member experience and financial success through direct customer interaction and problem-solving.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Prior supervisory experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift
- Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs less than 30% of the time
