Job Summary
Oversee gym operations to ensure positive member experience and financial success by recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising staff. Manage front desk tasks, conduct member tours, and facilitate service issues while ensuring prompt opening and closing. Authorize expenditures, process weekly payroll, and make daily bank deposits. Take responsibility for the largest section of daily cleaning and oversee overall cleanliness. Manage marketing efforts by ensuring staff awareness and training. Prepare new hire forms and provide backup support for employees out due to illness. Maintain high standards of customer service and problem-solving in all interactions.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Prior supervisory experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift
- Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs less than 30% of the time
