Job Summary
Oversee gym operations to ensure positive member experience and financial success by recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising staff. Manage front desk tasks, including greeting potential members for tours, processing payroll, authorizing expenditures, and making daily bank deposits. Ensure prompt opening and closing while overseeing cleanliness and appearance, taking responsibility for the largest section of daily cleaning. Facilitate member service issues and questions, ensuring all staff provide a great customer experience. Maintain marketing efforts by keeping staff trained on sent materials and provide backup support for employees out due to illness.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Prior supervisory experience
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Standing and walking at least 75% of the shift
- Talking in person or on the phone at least 75% of the shift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs less than 30% of the time
