Job Summary
Lead club activities and supervise program participants, ensuring their guidance and safety at all times. Plan, manage, and implement enrichment programs that are culturally relevant, age appropriate, and designed to build progressive skills culminating in events. Design sports, games, and academic assistance while monitoring behavior and providing positive behavior guidance. Assist in student recruitment, create marketing materials, and collaborate with school and district personnel to align goals. Maintain spaces, organize, and ensure safety while responding to critical incidents and emergencies. Schedule is M-F 1:30pm – 6pm in-person.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must possess a high school diploma/GED
- Six months of experience in enrichment programming, youth development, education, or comparable setting
- Previous experience as instructor or demonstrated advanced skill in specialty
- Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents
- Physical ability to act in an emergency situation
- Physical ability to lead activities such as sports, games, academic assistance, assemblies, transitions, and other program activities
- Must be able to attend all scheduled shifts, required meetings, and trainings
- Must complete fingerprinting prior to reporting to work
- Must include subsequent arrest notifications
- Must obtain a Negative TB assessment or test results within the past 60 days
- Must obtain CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification including Adult and Child/Infant within 30 days of hire
- Certification must be from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or American Safety & Health Institute
- Must complete 48 college credits at an institution of higher education
- Must obtain an AA/AS degree
- Must pass district's Classroom Assistant/Instructional Aide proficiency exam

- Experience coaching volleyball, soccer, cheer, drawing, theatre, or choir
