Job Summary
The Club Director provides day-to-day operational leadership and programmatic direction at a designated Club location, guiding program delivery, staff leadership and development, fiscal and resource management, facility and risk management, and compliance with licensing and quality standards. Collaborates with Area Clubs to enhance programming, drives quality improvement and program assessment, ensures DEI-aligned practices, supports fundraising and board relations, and maintains brand integrity while delivering world-class customer service. Responsibilities span licensing compliance (OCCL, STARS), program planning, budget oversight, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on youth development, trauma-informed practices, and safe, high-quality facilities. Requires a four-year degree (preferred) or equivalent experience, leadership background, willingness to travel, and ability to obtain relevant certifications within one year. The role emphasizes strategic planning, staff supervision, data collection/reporting, and partnership-building to advance the organization’s mission.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree from an accredited college or university OR equivalent years of experience (within one year of appointment certification may be required)
- Minimum of three (3) years of management/administration and operations experience, preferably in a Boys & Girls Club or nonprofit setting
- Must possess a valid driver's license with acceptable DMV record and be willing to drive company vehicles; occasional statewide travel
- Ability to pass background checks and necessary clearances
- Qualifications necessary for obtaining Delaware First School-Age Childcare Administrator certification within one year of appointment
