Job Summary
Direct daily operations of the designated Clubhouse, focusing on program delivery, staff supervision, facilities management, and membership administration. Establish unit programs that prepare youth for success, ensuring a safe environment where equipment and supplies are maintained. Plan, develop, and evaluate overall activities to meet stated objectives, compiling regular reports on attendance and participation. Manage financial resources by developing annual budgets and controlling expenditures, while recruiting and providing career development for staff and volunteers. Conduct regular staff meetings, allocate work to volunteers, and maintain positive relationships with parents, community leaders, and the Unit Advisory Board. Monitor program goals, address member discipline issues, and cultivate working relationships with Branch Boards and external community groups.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree in related field from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of two-years experience in Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the development needs of youth
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good driving record
- Group leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics
- Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management and the recruitment and retention of key personnel
- Ability to deal effectively with members, including discipline problems
- Working knowledge of budget preparation, control and management
- Skills in fund-raising events
- Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Power-Point and Publisher
