Job Summary
Lead all aspects of operations at the designated Club location, including staff supervision, development, and program delivery. Supervise 3-15 employees by interviewing, hiring, training, and conducting performance appraisals while managing the overall direction and coordination of units. Oversee daily implementation of programs, services, and activities that facilitate Youth Development Outcomes, including oversight of the daily food program. Manage the agency budget, monitor revenue and expenditure variances, and ensure grant-funded programs are executed on time. Develop collaborative partnerships with families, community organizations, and other youth-serving entities to maintain good public relations. Maintain accurate data and recordkeeping for program outcomes, member management systems, and grant reporting. Address member behavior and parent-related concerns, resolve complaints, and ensure compliance with child abuse and neglect reporting requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications
- Active Director's Credentials through the State of Florida or be able to achieve within 6 months of employment
- Valid Florida state driver's license: must be eligible to drive Club vehicles per our insurance & have a CDL (or be able to obtain within 6 months)
- Travel may be required to multiple Club facilities throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, Hernando and Pinellas Counties for training and/or other business purposes
- The employee is occasionally required to bend and lift and/or move up to 30 lbs
- Flexibility to working schedules may be required due to changing needs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a field like Human Services, Education, Recreation or Social Work is preferred
- A minimum of three years' work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc
- Group leadership skills, including and understanding of group dynamics
- Previous proven success with organizational, staff and project management
- Ability to assess the effectiveness of programs and activities and the ability to make suggestions for improvements
- Ability to effectively communicate with different groups
- Successful supervisory experience (recruit, interview, train, empower, coach, motivate)
- Previous experience managing a similar facility within budget. Working knowledge of budget preparation, control, and management
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with community and business leaders
- Ability to deal effectively with Club member discipline issues and communicate effectively with parents
- Knowledge of the mission, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tampa Bay; and the principles and practices of a non-profit organization
