Job Summary
Analyze and report all tests ordered by the Medical Staff promptly according to laboratory procedures and regulatory guidelines. Utilize technical skills, instrumentation, and information systems to provide essential clinical laboratory support while ensuring the quality and accuracy of all tests under leadership direction. Demonstrate proficiency in performing complex laboratory tests, analyzing results, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting across various departments including Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, and Immunohematology. Maintain strong understanding of quality control, quality assurance, and laboratory safety protocols while operating and maintaining lab equipment. Requires minimum one year of experience in an acute care facility, a Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science, and a California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in an acute care facility
- Bachelor's Degree in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA
- Must be appropriately trained in clinical laboratory science as evaluated by the Director of the Clinical Laboratory
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License (CLS)
- A current Los Angeles County fire card
Desired Qualifications
- Must be proficient in the Core lab to include Chemistry/Heme/USC
- Blood Bank
- Experience in an acute care hospital setting
