Job Summary
CLS Life Skills Mentor provides life-skills coaching for individuals with disabilities; builds positive relationships, helps develop independence and community involvement, supports goal achievement through Person-Centered Planning, and may involve transporting clients and documenting progress. Paid training available; roles offered as Part Time or Full Time; starting pay posted; no prior experience required. Location: Grand Rapids, MI.
Required Qualifications
- Be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid Driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and proof of car insurance.
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must demonstrate a passionate interest for helping people with disabilities
- Must be mature, reliable, and honest
- Must demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills and be able to work well with little supervision
- Must have a flexible schedule
