Job Summary
Cloud Support Engineer responsible for managing, configuring, and troubleshooting customer AWS environments via phone and remote access, building and overseeing day-to-day operation of engineering solutions, and providing feedback for process improvements. The role emphasizes strong Linux administration, multi-vendor incident management, proactive documentation (runbooks/knowledge base), incident response, and collaboration with client engineering and management. Key skills include VPC/EC2/RDS/S3 experience, DevOps tooling and CI/CD, infrastructure as code, security-first posture, and clear communication with customers, peers, and management. The position requires experience with ticketing systems (Remedy, ServiceNow), adaptable teamwork, and a track record of delivering reliable cloud infrastructure support in a 24/7 environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience supporting and building solutions on AWS
- 2+ years of experience using a ticketing system (e.g., Remedy, ServiceNow)
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration
- Experience with VPC, EC2, RDS, S3, CW, CF, ELB, ASG, EFS, EBS, WAF
- Ability to troubleshoot and manage cloud infrastructure
- Experience with infrastructure as code and automated configuration tools
- DevOps toolchain experience (CI/CD)
- Customer-facing communication skills
- Ability to work in 24/7 environments and on-call scenarios
- Multi-vendor environment management
- Documentation and runbook maintenance
- Security-focused mindset and knowledge of best practices
