Job Summary
Shape the architecture for Analog Devices' cloud software stack, enabling PaaS and SaaS offerings while evaluating emerging technologies for build-vs-buy decisions. Implement and integrate both internally developed and third-party technologies, building frameworks that connect cloud components and ensure scalability, security, and maintainability. Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions, writing, documenting, and testing production code to enterprise standards while contributing to continuous improvement in development processes. This Senior Software Engineer role sits within the Software & Digital Platforms team, focusing on next-generation cloud services and customer-facing features impacting thousands of users. The position requires 5+ years of experience in cloud-native development with strong AWS expertise and is based in Limerick, Ireland.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years developing large-scale, cloud-native solutions with one or more of: Node.js, TypeScript, Python, Go, C#, or JavaScript
- 3+ years designing and testing scalable, customer-facing systems
- Strong AWS experience (serverless, storage, compute, networking)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deep knowledge of connected systems, networking, cloud computing, and integration patterns
- Proficient in CI/CD pipelines (Git, GitHub Actions, Jira, automated testing)
- Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
- Yes, 10% of the time (travel)
- 1st Shift/Days (shift type)
Desired Qualifications
- AWS Certified Developer – Associate (or higher)
- Professional experience with Go for building secure, scalable microservices
- Expertise with AWS Serverless services (DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, EventBridge)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CDK or CloudFormation
- Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
