Job Summary
Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud architectures for public, private, and hybrid environments while collaborating with IT and DevOps teams to integrate security best practices. Monitor cloud environments for threats and vulnerabilities using advanced tools, then develop incident response plans covering containment, eradication, and recovery. Ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, and ISO/IEC 27001 by conducting risk assessments and audits. Deploy and manage security tools including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM systems, and encryption technologies, while automating processes to enhance efficiency. Implement and manage IAM solutions to control access, and develop data protection strategies involving encryption and data loss prevention. Document security policies and prepare detailed reports on incidents and compliance status for stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Minimum of [2] years of experience in cloud security engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field
- Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong understanding of cloud security principles, architecture, and best practices
- Proficiency with cloud security tools and technologies (e.g., IAM, SIEM, IDS/IPS, encryption tools)
- Experience with automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for security automation
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
- High level of attention to detail with a commitment to ensuring the security and integrity of cloud environments
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar
