Job Summary
The Cloud Security Engineer will design, implement, and manage security solutions for AWS environments and Kubernetes clusters, ensuring secure operations of cloud-native applications. This role involves conducting security assessments and embedding security practices into CI/CD pipelines, along with monitoring and responding to cloud security incidents. Candidates must possess 5+ years of experience in cloud security, deep knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes security, as well as expertise in Terraform. Relevant certifications are highly desirable.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering
- Extensive expertise in AWS
- Proficiency with Kubernetes security including cluster hardening and role-based access control (RBAC)
- Expert-level knowledge with Terraform
- Familiarity with AWS security services
- Familiarity with CNAPP solutions such as Wiz
- Familiarity with SIEM solutions such as Panther
- Solid understanding of secure software development lifecycle practices
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
Desired Qualifications
- AWS Certified Security – Specialty
- Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
- Terraform Associate certification
- Security certifications from SANS or OffSec
