Job Summary
Cloud Security Architect responsible for owning cloud security operations, posture management, and policy enforcement across the firm’s multi-cloud environment. Works with IT, platform engineering, and senior security leadership to identify risk, enforce controls, and drive measurable improvements to cloud security posture. Hands-on, self-directed, with experience operating in complex cloud environments. Partners with development and operations teams to integrate security requirements into the build process and serves as the cloud security SME within the Cyber Threat Operations team. Key duties include owning cloud security operations, engaging with cloud platform and development teams, potentially leading daily security operations, advising on requirements, and creating a positive team experience. Responsibilities span architecture reviews, IaC pipeline checks, pre-deployment guardrails, translating risk into actionable guidance, and maintaining exposure reporting across identity, network, data access, and resource configuration. The role emphasizes staying current on cloud-specific adversary techniques, evaluating new security technologies, and championing security controls across the firm. Travel less than 10%. Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive information security experience
- 4–6 years of direct, hands-on cloud security exposure
- Production experience operating a cloud security posture management or cloud-native application protection platform
- Hands-on experience across at least two major cloud platforms
- Cloud platform and security knowledge to interpret CSPM findings
- Experience with cloud security policy enforcement: guardrails, baseline controls, or policy-as-code
- Security operations background: alert triage, incident response
- Experience working with engineering/development teams as a security partner
- Clear written communication across technical and non-technical audiences
- Preferred: Azure, AWS, GCP; Kubernetes/container security; IaC security in CI/CD; knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH/ISO/SOC/PCI; certifications: AZ-500, AWS Security Specialty, CCSP; CISSP a plus
