Job Summary
Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer responsible for operating and maintaining Red Hat OpenShift environments across multiple security domains (cloud and on-premises via vSphere), deploying OpenShift to new sites, and collaborating with internal/external teams to scale the platform. Responsibilities include supporting OpenShift frameworks (Crossplane, Kyverno, Red Hat GitOps), managing data services (RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack), partnering with Security to ensure secure-by-design solutions, and maintaining thorough documentation for teammates and future maintainers. Desired skills include hands-on OpenShift deployment/management in cloud or vSphere, familiarity with AWS, scripting (Python or Shell), Git, Linux (RHEL/RHCOS/CentOS), CI/CD (GitLab CI or Jenkins), and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, CNCF ecosystem). The role is aligned with mission-critical national security work and requires a TS/SCI clearance and DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 5–8 years of developer or platform engineering experience
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (one of the following): Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA
