Job Summary
Operate and improve Kubernetes-based infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, maintaining production workloads for hundreds of smart kiosks across multiple countries. Modernize authorization and authentication services while implementing deployment pipelines using Ansible to ensure consistency and automation. Design resilient inter-service communication patterns and build internal tooling for messaging systems and databases. Manage cloud security practices including certificate management, access controls, and operational compliance alongside redundancy and high-availability strategies. Requires 2+ years of hands-on Linux and Kubernetes experience in production environments with Terraform or Ansible. Full-time role in Düsseldorf with a valid work permit for Germany required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on experience operating Linux-based cloud infrastructure and containerized workloads in production
- 2+ years of practical Kubernetes experience in production, including networking, rollout management, troubleshooting, and service reliability
- 2+ years hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform / AWS in production environments, ideally with GKE, IAM, VPC, Cloud DNS, Load Balancing, and observability tooling
- Proven experience writing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and/or Ansible in production systems
- Confident understanding of Linux, container networking, DNS, TLS, authentication/authorization concepts, and incident-oriented troubleshooting
- Ability to take ownership for operational stability, rollout processes, and security-related infrastructure tasks
- A valid full-time work permit for Germany
