Job Summary
OpenStack-based Private Cloud Operations Engineer responsible for operating and supporting Private Cloud infrastructure (Network, Firewall, Load Balancer, Storage, Linux OS, and Monitoring). Role emphasizes stability of an OpenStack environment, incident analysis, vendor coordination, monitoring improvements, and automation initiatives. Key duties include firewall policy management (Palo Alto), load balancer management (Citrix ADC VPX), OpenStack instance provisioning and management, Dell server hardware and iDRAC-based operations, NetApp ONTAP storage management, Linux administration, and monitoring/observability using Zabbix, Grafana, and Prometheus. Candidate should have scripting and automation experience (Python, Shell, PowerShell, Ansible) and familiarity with REST APIs, YAML, and AI-assisted tooling. Bilingual in Korean required. The salary range is $70k–$90k DOE, and the role is onsite in Irvine, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with OpenStack or private cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with Dell servers and iDRAC-based operations
- Experience with NetApp ONTAP or enterprise storage systems
- Experience with Palo Alto firewalls
- Experience with Citrix ADC VPX or similar load balancers
- Experience with Linux OS administration and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in Python, Shell, or PowerShell scripting
- Experience with Ansible or other automation tools
- Experience with monitoring platforms such as Zabbix, Grafana, or Prometheus
- Experience with packet capture / network troubleshooting (tcpdump, nstrace)
- Understanding of TCP/IP, routing, NAT, and firewall policies
- Ability to perform root cause analysis using logs and metrics
- Vendor coordination and incident management
- OpenStack component experience (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance)
- Experience with REST API, Webhook, JSON, YAML
- Git-based version control experience
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (ChatGPT, Copilot) and applying AI for RCA and automation
- Korean language proficiency for bilingual communication
- OpenStack operations including provisioning, live migration, storage and networking
