Job Summary
Migrate and maintain large complex data flows to modern AWS cloud environments, specifically leveraging AWS cloud technologies. Support and enhance COTS products providing file transfer and MQ services by integrating them into modern AWS architecture. Write clean, maintainable infrastructure-as-code and cloud service logic using Python, Ansible, and AWS CloudFormation or CDK. Develop and support infrastructure using CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles while performing troubleshooting, performance tuning, and documentation. Coordinate closely with stakeholders across teams to manage integration and interface requirements. This role supports a federal financial customer within Peraton's national security mission, requiring a Master's degree (3 years experience) or Bachelor's (5 years experience) and US citizenship with agency clearance eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Master's and 3 years of experience
- Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of experience
- Associates and 7 years of experience or 9 years of experience with a High School diploma
- Strong background in AWS cloud engineering and development
- Experience with services such as: EC2, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SNS, SQS, Glue, EKS/ECS
- Proficient in scripting and programming languages: Python, Ansible, Bash
- Experience with AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform
- Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience communicating with business users and stakeholders
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required agency clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting or integrating file transfer and MQ tools (e.g., IBM MQ, Connect:Direct)
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and participation in Agile delivery teams (e.g., Scrum, SAFe)
- Understanding compliance and security best practices in federal financial cloud environments
