Job Summary
Cloud Lead Developer responsible for designing and implementing cloud-native applications on AWS/Azure using Java/Java EE and JavaScript. Focus areas include building scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant systems aligned to the Cloud well-architected framework, implementing Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM), and automated CI/CD with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and DevSecOps practices. The role requires hands-on cloud provider experience (AWS/Azure), knowledge of services (EC2, Lambda, RDS/Aurora, S3, VPC, IAM, EKS/ECS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Secrets Manager), logging/observability (Splunk, CloudWatch, X-Ray), security/compliance (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP), and accessibility standards (Section 508, WCAG). Nice-to-haves include serverless architectures, cloud certifications, containerization/Kubernetes, and secure coding practices for regulated environments.
Required Qualifications
- Full stack software engineering development experience for Java/Java EE ecosystems and JavaScript frameworks
- Agile & Medicare Experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud or Azure and lift-and-shift or re-platforming projects
- Work with cloud architects to resilient, High Availability (HA), and fault-tolerant systems following the Cloud well-architected framework
- AWS Cloud or other Cloud Platform Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider
- AWS Services – EC2, Lambda, RDS, Aurora, S3, VPC, IAM, EKS/ECS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Secrets Manager
- Setting up log aggregation, tracking, and monitoring using Splunk, CloudWatch, and X-Ray
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Tools – Terraform, ARM Templates, or CloudFormation
- Security & Compliance Frameworks (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP)
- CI/CD & DevSecOps Tools – Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Selenium, SonarQube, Snyk, AWS CodePipeline or Azure DevOps
- Proficiency in setting up and managing continuous integration and deployment pipelines
- Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility, remediation and WCAG standards
