Job Summary
Azure Cloud IT Infrastructure Network Engineer is a highly skilled, technology-agnostic expert responsible for solving unusually complex business problems with innovative solutions across the entire infrastructure technology space. In this role, you will leverage your deep knowledge of IT infrastructure's impact on Roche's business to make critical technical decisions with considerable independence. As a leader, you will proactively influence technology strategy, mentor global teams, and ensure that all technical designs and deliveries align with long-term organizational objectives and regulatory standards. The Azure role Scope includes designing, building, testing, and implementing integrated and resilient network solutions, leading end-to-end design, and ensuring compliance with Quality/Regulatory standards and Roche's Technical Architecture Framework (TAF). You will communicate complex information to senior stakeholders, lead as a consultant on technology strategy, and guide geo-distributed teams. The candidate should have hands-on Azure cloud networking expertise, IaC with Terraform/Ansible/Python, automation scripting, version control (Git/GitHub), and strong leadership capabilities; certifications such as Azure official certs and CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure are highlighted.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated hands-on experience architecting and implementing Azure cloud network solutions
- in depth knowledge of advanced Azure networking architectures and interconnectivity options
- General network engineering experience
- Infrastructure as code software: Terraform, Ansible, Python
- Experience with the development of automation scripts and tools
- Distributed version control and source code management tools: GIT, github or equivalents
- Demonstrated experience making strategic technical decisions and leading large to enterprise-level project teams
- Proven track record of architecting, designing, and implementing integrated, reliable infrastructure solutions across the entire technology space
- Experience in estimating complex engineering resources, dependencies, and timelines to deliver successful enterprise projects
- Azure official certifications
- CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure
- Coding and scripting: Terraform, Powershell, Python
- Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to translate complex technical issues for senior business leaders
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strong mentorship and leadership capabilities
