Job Summary
Cloud Infrastructure Engineer – Vice President role responsible for defining and evolving platform architecture standards across core infrastructure domains. Focus on Kubernetes platform architecture (cluster lifecycle, autoscaling, provisioning, OS standards with EKS/Karpenter/Bottlerocket), cloud networking patterns (VPC design, routing, ingress/egress, TGW, private connectivity), edge/traffic management (CDN, DNS, TLS strategies), API Gateway and north-south access patterns, and multi-account/multi-cluster architecture standards. Role includes producing reference architectures and guardrails, reviewing designs for alignment with long-term strategy, and staying hands-on through proofs of concept and reference implementations. Collaboration with engineering, security, and product teams to ensure practical, broadly adopted standards. Requirements include 8+ years in platform/cloud/infrastructure roles with architectural responsibility, production Kubernetes experience, strong AWS networking/security knowledge, cloud networking/edge design experience, ability to translate requirements into standards, and excellent communication skills. Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in platform, cloud, or infrastructure engineering roles, with demonstrated architectural responsibility
- Strong hands on experience designing and operating Kubernetes platforms in production environments
- Deep understanding of AWS infrastructure, including networking, security primitives, and managed services
- Experience designing cloud networking and edge architectures, including ingress/egress and traffic management
- Proven ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear standards and reference architectures
- Comfortable operating as a senior individual contributor with influence across multiple teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain architectural decisions to both technical and nontechnical audiences
