Job Summary
Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead the evolution of our IT environment into a cloud-first, scalable, and secure architecture with a focus on Microsoft Azure. Design, deploy, and manage scalable Azure infrastructure; build and secure Azure Landing Zones using Policy and Blueprints; administer Azure AD, VNets, NSGs, storage, and backups; monitor usage and enforce governance. Implement Infrastructure-as-Code pipelines using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates; automate provisioning with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions; create reusable PowerShell and Azure CLI scripts. Manage modern endpoint provisioning with Microsoft Intune and Autopilot; lead Windows Autopilot deployments for zero-touch device provisioning; enforce endpoint security and configurations. Support virtualization/hybrid needs with VMware/Hyper-V; migrate on-prem workloads to Azure and enable hybrid connectivity. Apply zero-trust principles with Conditional Access, RBAC, and Azure AD; implement proactive monitoring with Azure Monitor and SIEM tools; lead incident response and remediation. Preferred certifications include AZ-104 and VMware VCP; familiarity with SIEM tools like Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel. On-site collaboration with students, faculty, and staff is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, information systems, or relevant degree. In lieu of a degree relevant skills and certifications may be considered.
- 7+ years in infrastructure or systems engineering roles.
- 3+ years of deep, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code and scripting (PowerShell, Bicep, Terraform).
- Experience with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and modern endpoint security.
- Strong grasp of cloud identity and access management.
- Regular, in-person attendance up to 5 days per week on campus/on site is an essential function of this position.
