Job Summary
Design and define cloud architectures for new and existing systems, implementing scalable, secure solutions using IaaS, PaaS, and event-driven architectures. Oversee day-to-day cloud operations to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency while establishing secure, software-defined cloud interconnects between on-premises systems and cloud environments. Troubleshoot infrastructure issues with minimal disruption and implement security controls ensuring compliance with applicable standards, including FedRAMP and NIST frameworks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that improve performance and security, aligning cloud strategies with mission objectives. Requires eight years of experience with major cloud platforms and DoD cybersecurity frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience with current and emerging technologies
- Proven experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware) and major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Strong knowledge of cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and analytics
- Experience with network security, identity and access management (IdAM), and compliance frameworks (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD Impact Levels, NIST)
- Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF, NIST 800-53, and STIGs
- Strong understanding of networking, firewalls, and role-based access control (RBAC)
- Experience with IdAM technologies such as Active Directory, Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM), LDAP, and cloud-based identity solutions
- Proficiency with scripting (e.g., PowerShell) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies
- Bachelor's degree or vocational diploma in IT, Information Systems, or a related field
- Must meet DoD 8140 / 8570 IAT Level II requirements
- CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent) required
Desired Qualifications
- AWS and/or Microsoft certifications at the Associate or Expert level (e.g., Solutions Architect, Systems Administrator, or Engineer)
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Department of Navy (DoN), or law enforcement environments
