Job Summary
Cloud Infrastructure Engineer responsible for designing, deploying, and operating a Kubernetes-based cloud-native platform to improve scalability, availability, and security. You will manage production Kubernetes clusters, implement declarative deployments with Helm/Kustomize/Kubernetes operators, and build/optimize CI/CD pipelines using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps. The role involves provisioning and managing infrastructure with Terraform or Crossplane, building secure container images, implementing observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry, and supporting load testing, resilience validation, and capacity planning. Linux system administration, stateful workload support (Postgres/MySQL/Redis/Kafka), on-call incident response, and documenting architecture and operational procedures are also required. The position offers the option to work remotely, from the West Bend, WI headquarters, or on a hybrid schedule depending on location. Requires authorization to work in the U.S. and a high school diploma or equivalent; salary range is $85,000–$100,000 and bonus eligibility is noted.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2–5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE roles
- Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform)
- Strong containerization and image security practices
- Linux administration and troubleshooting
- Python or similar scripting language
- Working knowledge of networking, Kubernetes security, and deployment strategies
- Load testing and performance analysis
