Job Summary
Architect and guide modernization of the organization’s on-premises private cloud, focusing on virtualization platforms, container orchestration technologies, software defined networking, automation tooling, and modern storage solutions. Define and evolve the cloud landscape with emphasis on availability, sovereignty, and automation, while ensuring security and compliance. Translate business requirements into robust infrastructure strategies and designs, validate designs with security and enterprise architecture stakeholders, and lead the development of the software defined data center (SDDC). Provide actionable low-level designs for engineering teams, explore architectural enablers with a focus on automation and self-service, and collaborate with other architects to ensure architectural consistency. Stay current with emerging technologies (e.g., Kubernetes, AI) and assess their relevance for the private cloud. Ensure delivered cloud services are compliant, secure, and fit for use, taking ownership of architectural quality and overall outcomes. The role requires a technical bachelor’s or master’s degree, >5 years of experience in large-scale enterprise environments, strong communication skills in English and Dutch, and familiarity with TOGAF and cloud frameworks.
