Job Summary
Design and implement FinOps frameworks for Azure cloud operations, optimizing cloud spend and embedding financial accountability in cloud delivery. Develop and maintain reports detailing cloud spending, usage, and opportunities for optimization; partner with technical teams to negotiate favorable pricing and terms with cloud providers; monitor and analyze cloud costs to identify savings; identify discrepancies in cloud expenses and drive governance through automation and data-driven insights. This role requires collaboration across finance, operations, and engineering, and may involve on-call support and administrative tasks related to budgeting and purchase orders. Strong communication, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize in a busy healthcare IT environment are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent education/experience considered
- Five (5) years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation frameworks and/or best practices
- Five (5) years of experience in IT infrastructure and infrastructure operations
- Three (3) years of experience in Azure cloud financial management, cost optimization, billing models and reporting tools
- FinOps Certified Practitioner, or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire
