Job Summary
Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native data pipelines and platform capabilities on GCP, covering ingestion, orchestration, transformation, monitoring, and operational improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive PI planning, implement reusable engineering patterns, and enhance CI/CD, observability, and automation practices. Ensure data quality, governance, and maintainability while enabling other teams to build business data products within the domain. Contribute to improving analytics and reporting capabilities through AI agents and efficiency enablers.
Required Qualifications
- Several years of experience in software or data engineering
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience building and maintaining scalable data pipelines
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (preferably GCP)
- Experience with orchestration or workflow tools (e.g., Airflow or similar)
- Understanding of modern data architectures (e.g., Data Warehouse, Data Lake)
- Proven experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows
- A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Experience using LLMs as part of your development workflow, either professionally or through personal projects
Desired Qualifications
- Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery and Pub/Sub
- Containerization (e.g., Docker)
- Event-driven architectures and streaming data
- Advanced data modelling techniques (e.g., Dimensional Modelling, Data Vault)
- Data quality, monitoring, and observability practices
- IAM, secure access, and data governance principles
- Building robust and highly reliable data systems
