Cloud Engineer, Specialist

Job Summary
Design, build, and support cloud-based observability platforms, including logging, metrics, and distributed tracing systems. Develop and enhance cloud-native applications using AWS services, serverless technologies, and containerized workloads with Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes. Automate infrastructure and operational processes using Python or Bash, while implementing Infrastructure-as-Code solutions to optimize CI/CD pipelines. Partner with engineering teams to onboard applications, manage SaaS and internally hosted platforms, and ensure high availability through system health monitoring and troubleshooting. Evaluate new tools to improve platform efficiency and mentor junior team members on cloud architecture and automation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or related roles
- Strong experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures (required)
- Hands-on experience with Docker and orchestration platforms such as ECS and/or Kubernetes (required)
- Strong programming and automation skills using Python, Bash, or similar languages
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices
