Job Summary
Cloud Biometric Systems Engineer provides operational, maintenance, and enhancement support for cloud-based biometric applications and infrastructure supporting government mission requirements. Ensures interoperability between biometric systems (fingerprint, facial recognition, iris, and voice biometrics) and manages cloud environments in AWS, Azure, AWS GovCloud, or Azure Government. Designs, implements, and troubleshoots cloud networking components (VPCs, subnets, routing, VPNs, and hybrid cloud connectivity). Implements, monitors, and audits security controls to meet federal cybersecurity and RMF requirements. Assists with RMF activities, accreditation packages, and coordinates CSSP activities, vulnerability scanning, IAVM monitoring, and incident response efforts. Develops training and provides technical guidance for cloud-based services; adheres to AS9100 and QMS policies. Requires a secret security clearance.
Required Qualifications
- Six years of experience in a cloud engineering, DevOps, or cloud security role
- Bachelor Degree in a relevant technical discipline or two additional years of relevant experience
- Professional-level certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, or CISSP
- A secret security clearance is required
