Job Summary
Build, deploy, and maintain Google Cloud Platform infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices. Operate and troubleshoot containerized workloads on Google Kubernetes Engine while monitoring system health, performance, and security posture. Support production issues through log correlation and distributed tracing, contributing to post-incident reviews. Collaborate with application and platform teams to deliver scalable cloud solutions, manage networking and IAM configurations, and participate in an on-call rotation. Contribute to FinOps initiatives for cost optimization and resource governance. Requires 2–3 years of cloud experience, automation scripting, and containerization skills. Fully onsite at PetSmart's Phoenix Home Office; visa sponsorship not available.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years professional experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Azure)
- Experience with automation and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Familiarity with IaC and CI/CD. (Terraform, Jenkins/Cloudbees, Github Actions)
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and basic Kubernetes skills (GKE/CKA)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (VPC, DNS, load balancing, psc, peerings)
- Strong problem-solving ability and a collaborative mindset
- Strong understanding of cloud fundamentals such as IAM, RBAC, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS
- Experience with monitoring tools (Stackdriver/Google Cloud Operations, cloud trace)
- Minimum of four days in the office each week
- This position is considered Fully Onsite, work is to be done onsite at a PetSmart location (Phoenix Home Office, PetSmart stores, Merchandise Development Center, Distribution Centers or another PetSmart site)
